Don,
"Dave
Parker here. Karen and I are
having a wonderful time here in
Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. We're both
doing REAL well with our weight
control issues. We're both very
aware that, this time around
things are
"different." We
"think" and
"act" differently
regarding our eating habits,
yens, and the way we look at
food and meals. We're also
attending Weight Watchers here.
We've done that before, but
again, things are different for
now, in a POSITIVE way. What we
worked on in the sessions with
you, and what we get out of the
W.W.
Meetings
has helped us greatly! I'm down
to 194 pounds. I'm losing about
1-2 Lbs. a week, sometimes
nothing for that week. Karen is
doing even better. I don't know
how much she weighs, but she
seems VERY happy with herself
and her "new" view of
eating. She is THRILLED!! We've
found that portions are our
biggest help in losing.
I
still eat things that I really
like, including CHOCOLATE, and
I'm losing!! I watch portions,
sugar (the chocolate I eat is
sweetened with Splenda, and I
only eat "one" portion
for any particular day) and fat.
We go easy on Bread (Carbs), and
all of this seems to be doing
the trick, for BOTH of us. We
also exercise every day. I walk
on the Beach just about every
day, for a "minimum"
of an hour, and this after my
Aerobics, light weight lifting
and stretching exercises before
leaving the Condo. We both use
the "stairs" when
possible, and we live on the
SEVENTH floor of the
Condo."
